I know that the 9v line has been the orphaned theme for a while, but with such a
huge amount of activity in the Duplo 4.5v line up it seems nuts that LEGO
wouldn't be reinvesting in the train theme in general. Also, over the years LEGO
seems to pick up and drop the train line. Trains were big in the early 80's; big
enough that some of the train stuff actually made it to the US. Then the trains
disappeared for a bit. In the early 90's the train theme came back big. In the
mid to late nineties the train theme declined. Now Duplo trains are coming back
big. I just thought that this looks like the upswing in the LEGO train roller coaster.
