The question is do the cars get built to the new standard or are we going to be
held back the narrow guage 6-wide types?

This is a great idea!  (Except Suzanne points out that LUGNET should be on the
engine rather than the caboose :-)

LEGO is the engine. LUGNET can be first among cars, perhaps.
