For Russell - once moderated, my new pictures of Thomas and Friends are in my Brickshelf gallery:

There’s Thomas himself, with Annie and Clarabel (okay, the two-axle TV versions of Annie and Clarabel) and Percy.

For look-alike real engines, there’s a Great Western 0-6-0T Pannier Tank - the model for Duck; and an LMS 0-6-0 Class 4F ‘Fowler’ - the model for James, though in dark rather than bright red. The Bluebell Railway A1X Class (or ‘Stroudley Terrier’) No. 55 really is called ‘Stepney’.

I’ve added a picture of the wheelbase shared by Thomas and Stepney, and exploded views of the faces on Thomas and Percy. Note that both faces have half-plate protusions on the rear that are buried in the front of the boiler for neatness. This is harder with the smaller, more elaborate face on Percy.

Hey - Cute models.

I’m really impressed with the water effects under the bridge. I’ve seen those 1x2 dark-blue tiles at Legoland pick-a-brick, but never thought them of being any use. Instead, I’ve been using clear 1x1,1x2 plates (also from LLC) on top of blue plates. Your choice of the dark-blue tiles (especially in combination with different plate colors under them) really gives the feeling of flowing water and depth!

Great job!
