Wow, I thought this list was dead. Hmmm. You're missing two key bits of information : 1) Do you want to individually control each LED's brightness? 2) How often do you wish to change the brightness? If you are attempting to make a television like (...) (20 years ago, 29-Feb-04, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
