IMPRESSION

Ten years after the Fabuland theme ended, many of the parts used in that
theme returned in the new Mickey Mouse sets. As a collector of Fabuland I
couldn't let the Mickey Mouse sets stay on the shelf and here's the review of
them.

The Mickey mouse sets are in my opinion the new Fabuland sets. Many parts that
were previously used in the Fabuland theme are now used again. Also the style
of the sets are similar and also the scale of the figures is very much like the
Fabuland sets.

The set contains mainly Fabuland parts and other speciality parts, There are
also some basic elements, but not that many. AS most of the parts are special
and not easily re-usable in other themes, I think this isn't a good set for
parts.

The model itself is good. The garage is complete with fuel pump, bridge,
tow truck and building. Only a bit too much additional pieces, (There are 8
wheels but only
6 places to connect). Also another baseplate to seperate some parts from the
house
would have been nice.

The set is probably very interesting for young boys who want to play with cars.
They can use the tow truck to pick up a broken car and reapir it on the bridge.
However, Mickey has nobody to talk to except for Pluto.

The good points of the set are for me the Fabuland parts and the working
bridge, which is a nice thing, when you have correctly put it together. I also
like Pluto who can carry some tools in his mouth. The bad things are too many
speciality pieces which can difficulty be used for other things. Instead of the
current fuel pump I would have rather seen a return of the Fabuland fuelpump
(looked more realistic). Also the instruction booklet could have been better.

Elements not used in the main model in this set are:
2x2 brick red (2)
1x4 brick red (2)
1x8 brick yellow (2)
Wheels (2)
2x4 brick with two pins grey

CONCLUSION
A nice set, especially for boys (I think girls won't like it that much), but
a set with both Mickey and Minnie in is better to start with. However, for
extension of a current collection the set is nice
