Favorite LEGO toys/themes: Technic, Star Wars, 1980s Town
My fascination with LEGO began... When I was first exposed to it as a child of 5 or so. The most memorable set from my early years (aside from the big-headed bendy-armed family) was the Yellow Castle. Thanks Mom and Dad!
I once built... A pretty nice 3/4 minifig scale paddleboat as a youngster of 10 or 12.
Someday I will build... A sprawling Legopolis train garden once I have a house rather than an apartment
LEGO is great because... It grows with you! (Was that ever a TLG slogan? If not, it certainly should have been!) I've enjoyed the very same Lego pieces through childhood, adolescence, and adulthood, and found different reasons to enjoy the brick at each stage.
LEGO fans are great because... Unlike (adult) devotees of other toys, AFOLs seem the most likely to play (creatively and forever) with their toys!
My favorite Non-LEGO Toys: Bubble hockey (though this fix is largely supplanted by LEGO Soccer these days!)
My favorite Hobbies & Interests: Home theater, golf, ballroom dancing, and college ice hockey (Go BU!)
My favorite Foods: Steamed Chesapeake Bay blue crabs and cold beer
My favorite Movies & TV: Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, films of Wolfgang Petersen & Kevin Smith, & ABC Steven King miniseries
My favorite Artists: Boris Vallejo
My favorite Music: Indigo Girls
My favorite Pets & Animals: I was quite partial to hermit crabs as a child, and I loved the animals of Australia when I visited.
