John Nagy

Favorite LEGO toys/themes: Pirate Ships! Pirate Ships! Pirate Ships! I have at least one of each of them and most of the rest of the Pirate/Imperial theme too.

My fascination with LEGO began... I built my first Lego Pirate-themed ship, a Renegade Runner after discovering it on the discontinued rack of a department store. It was just enough to wet my appetite! I was always trying to improve it, when...I discovered eBay! And then...BrickLink! Now, I have at least one of each Pirate/Imperial ship Lego produced and I am working on my own designs.

Someday I will build... A quality two-decker Ship-of-the-Line. It will be both pleasing to look at, and easy to play with. (While I love them, Legos are toys to me, not shelf pieces!)

LEGO is great because... It is an interactive toy that challenges the imagination, yet appeals to a persons sense of symmetry. The encourage me to build creatively within the constraints of the Lego system (product line).

LEGO fans are great because... Lego is probably THE UNIVERSAL TOY. Its appeal and marketability, has led it to be widely spread to practically every corner of the globe.

My favorite Non-LEGO Toys: '70's Adventure Team GI JOE, 1/76 Scale WWII Models, Anything Batman!

My favorite Hobbies & Interests: Sports: Soccer, Baseball, College Basketball, Football. Toy Collecting and going to flea malls.

My favorite Foods: Mexican and Chinese.

My favorite Movies & TV: Movie: "Three" & "Four Musketeers," "Horatio Hornblower" with Gregory Peck, and Logan's Run.

My favorite Artists: Nothing abstract! I judge a painting or a piece of sculpture by how close it is to the original.

My favorite Music: Varies widely! Gregorian Chant and Celtic music to Limp Bizkit and Godsmack.

Words which best describe me: Practical. Stoic. Christian.

More & Less:
  • more Personal accountability, fortitude, and self-reliance., less Dependence upon others, envy of what others have, looking for a handout - nobody is owed anything!
  • more Prayerful thanksgiving to God for our faiths, family, health and country!, less Taking for granted the things and people of our lives.
  • more Love for our children..., less Love for ourselves!

Rules I try to live by:
  1. Remain thankful and prayerful to God, especially through the people you interact with everyday.
  2. Patience is a virtue.
  3. The most important things in LIFE are your faith in God, your wife and your kids.
