MichLUG Vignette Contest

I’m happy to announce that with a little over 2 weeks before the April 16th meeting, we will be having a Vignette contest.

If you would like to participate, please bring one to two creations to the meeting that could be defined as a Vignette. More vignettes are encouraged, but a max of two entries per person. We will be slightly lenient in what actually constitutes a Vignette. For example, a 10x10 may be allowed, but you should have a solid reason for going bigger than 8x8. (If you have an idea, but are not sure it will be ok, feel free to bounce that idea off me, via private email.)

You must be present to win. Entries will be judged by everyone who enters. 1 voting sheet per person, not per entry. If you show up to the meeting, but don’t enter, you will not be eligible to vote.

Subject matter - All themes are fair game.

Prizes - I will be giving away one or more of the following prizes:

    1355 Temple of Gloom
56 elements, 2 figures, US$7, 2001
LEGO > Studios

    4750 Draco's Encounter with Buckbeak
36 elements, 1 figure, US$8, 2004
LEGO > SYSTEM > Harry Potter > {Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban}

I may add or change the prizes before the date, however at least two sets in this approx price range (or more) will be given away. (Depending on what I find on clearance between now and then and if it’s cooler than what I already know I’ve got sealed without looking.) Also if anyone else wanted to throw something in the mix, that would certainly be welcome.

Anyways, I think this could be fun, so let’s all build something cool.

As organizer and prize contributer, I reserve the right to change these rules at any time. However the likelihood of that is very slim, outside of clarifying and editing spelling mistakes.
