We attended Dover Train Show on the 25th of September. Interest was high for our setup by the younger set. I put a mini cam in the Sante Fe Super Chief and showed the action through a TV. The Dover show was a success with our layout drawing a crowd all day. We also setup a play area which drew children all day long. Many children made creations and added them to the layout. How about a monthly part or theme for monthly challenge builds? Much like space does/did. The part would be decided upon at the meeting and then posted on the GardensLUG LUGNET page. Went to the Lego store today. On the topic of putting a flier in the store. The answer I got was "Not without approval from corporate. Train Layout: (...) We decided to put a green cloth under the display instead of having solid baseplates underneath the entire display. The center of the display is solid baseplates.
