  Re: Updated my site, again

Kyle, Thanks for the kudo! As for the Sony... I have a DSC-S70, a fantastic camera at a depressingly high price. But the quality is worth it. I've already reduced the strength of the flash (the icon shows up with a "-" next to it), but there's (...) <snip> (...) <snip> I have a Cybershot S-30 and I found that it's better to either put the flash to "off" (hit the flash button until there is a flash with a circle/slash over it) or to put teh flash on "low" (this is under camera>flash>low). It's a (...) (23 years ago, 17-May-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, lugnet.loc.us.ny.ny.man, lugnet.space)

Mark, Thank you! My first intent with the Redoubt was to construct a Constitution-class ship... but found the secondary hull a little TOO clunky and went with the Miranda-class ship instead. A Constituion-class ship is coming soon! The Friends (...) (23 years ago, 17-May-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, lugnet.loc.us.ny.ny.man, lugnet.space)

(...) Well, Sid Mark; I love your microfig BOP's. I had tried my hand at one, but couldn't achieve a decent colour scheme (did you know black, white and grey ends up making it look like a goose??) but your all-grey (how did you get that much grey?!? Howdy... Thanks for all of your kind words... Since thecrew complement of a BOP is just over a dozen (except for the gAL'Deth, of course!), maybe I can try my hand out at a minifig version! Yikes, what did I just commit myself to???!!! onedaycnn (...) (23 years ago, 16-May-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, lugnet.loc.us.ny.ny.man, lugnet.space)

Sid, The Bird-of-Prey is my favorite space ship and your model is great! When I was a kid, I could build in any scale - now I think only in mini-fig scale - your model has inspired me to try tp build my own Bird-of-Prey. Thank you. Bob Hayes (...) (...) contrast with the red "window" at the front is good. I also like the use of the Imperial tile as the Photorp port. Now all you need to do is make one twice that size with minifig crew! :^) ~Grand Admiral Muffin Head (23 years ago, 16-May-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, lugnet.loc.us.ny.ny.man, lugnet.space)

  Updated my site, again

Howdy fellow LUGNETers! More updates on my pathetic little website, including two new Klingon Bird-of-Preys and more links to my new stuff on Brickshelf. (URL) you get to my page, please click on "Newest Stuff" link to get to... well, the newest (...) (23 years ago, 16-May-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, lugnet.loc.us.ny.ny.man, lugnet.space)

Re: Gouging in Manhattan--Why Do They Cost So Much?

(...) I think it's a combination of the two. I could have acquired Cabana Beach at the Menlo Park FAO for a mere $34.99! The Fifth Avenue store, however, didn't have anything *too* ancient (save a few very late model Pirates sets). I did find some (...) (25 years ago, 22-May-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ny.ny.man)

(...) It's not NYC -- it's FAO. Their prices are always too high. Apparently, some people don't shop around for their toys. The nice thing is, you are more likely to find older sets at FAO than other places. Steve (25 years ago, 21-May-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ny.ny.man)
