Greetings,

Just wanted to drop this note. They have approximately 32 Advent
Calendars that scanned for $5 a piece. Some with broken seals, etc. Not
much else
though, some Insectoids, a zepplin, some stingrays on sale. I believe I
picked up the last Oasis Ambush and Biwing Baron for $3 and $2.

brent

P.S. Keep me informed about future gatherings, I have company this
weekend and wasn't able to get away.

Sorry for the delayed response on this topic.

I think NCLTC is a good name for a potential club.  I also may have scared
up a couple more recruits for this effort.  One of my co-workers son has a
some LEGO train (4559, 4554, and a couple other sets) and has expressed • some
interest in being involved in the show.  For him it would be a father son
effort.  I have another former co-worker who may also be interested but I
need to speak with him.  He would also be in the same boat, that is, his
participation would also be a father-son team.  Both of the boys are about
10 years old and LEGO fanatics.  There is no way I could be involved in • this
without my sons effort (he is four) so that would make at least three
father-son teams.

Cool. I like the idea of highlighting that Lego trains may be one of the
best intergenerational ways to model trains. Very serious models, and quick
toy constructions (specifically not saying "kids creations" as they may very
well create serious models) are built using the same components.

As far as space to set up a layout, I probably have it in my house and
certainly have it in my garage, but we would have to set up and take down
the layout as I couldn't leave it up for any length of time.  I'll get back
to you all on the availability of my house for a staging area.

That would be cool. We could do a staging run a week or two before the show.
If we can't get the entire display set up in an evening, we'll have serious
problems...

Frank

Well, it's been a few days...

I guess I'll put in the application for the train show as NCLTC unless
anyone has any objections.

We can always change the name later.

Ok, lets rock and roll! Do we need to also decide on a size for the
application? We probably need to sort of divy out modules etc. We should
probably try and schedule a meeting sometime to start building the
modules.

I can meet any monday-thursday evening. At my place if you like.

Does anyone have space to set up our display at home so we can work out
kinks before going live?

I have no room in my apartment for anything like that.
