I got back from the Legoland Kidvention where I saw firsthand the GMLTC
layout and am now looking at how much I still have to do and how little time
in which to do it. The layout is far from complete. I will be leaving town
for a sales trip that will keep me from building for 7 days, but I will be
able to have people over to help build on the following days:
Saturday, July 22nd
Sunday, July 30th
If anybody can come down and help build, it will be greatly appreciated.
The schedule looks like I should be able to get the bases finished by the
end of the 22nd and be able to work on structures and details on the 30th.
The NMRA show is on the 4th through the 6th and I have to ship the layout up
on the 2nd or 3rd, so it must be complete and ready to go by then. (I also
need to build the transport/storage racks before then as well)
This is getting to be crunch time. I will be plugging away on this every
evening and if anybody could lend a hand, I would really appreciate it.
Email me if you would like to come down and I am sure there are people
willing to carpool if you want to save gas. As always, I provide free food
for everyone.

| OK, what's the situation for Sunday, 7/30? Is ANYONE else besides me able to go? If so, who's going? Can we set up carpools of some type (if I take my car, I can only take 1 passenger if I put the other seat back in). I'll go down alone, but I'm (...) (24 years ago, 27-Jul-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)
