We are pleased to announce that our 5th Annual "Living LEGO-cy" Christmas show
will be on display in the Frank Livermore Learning Center at the Museum of
American Heritage in Palo Alto for the Holiday season. The display will run
Sunday, December 7, 2008 through Sunday, January 11, 2009. Friday and Saturday,
December 5-6, 2008 are members-only set-up days, from 10am-5pm, and the learning
center will be closed to the public on those days. BayLTC will be presenting a
self-running train layout with several loops of trains running through town,
farming, and suburban scenes. In addition, BayLUG members will have a variety of
other models on display.

The Bay Area LEGO Users Group (BayLUG) is pleased to announce that on October
10, 2008, we turn 10 years old, and we want you to come out and celebrate with
us! The party is at the Museum of American Heritage in Palo Alto on Sunday,
October 12. The room will be open to the public from 3pm-5pm. There will be

SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA, CA - The Bay Area LEGO Train Club (BayLTC) is
pleased to announce that we will be displaying for the fifth time at the
Train Collectors Association Cal-Stewart Spring Meet in Santa Clara. Here
are the show details:

Friday-Sunday, March 14-16, 2008

Santa Clara Convention Center

Show Hours: Open to TCA members all weekend.
Open to the public Sunday only 10am-2pm.

Admission: $5.00
Kids under 12 are free

This layout will be our dress rehearsal for the 2008 NMRA National Train
Show in Anaheim in July. This means that the layout we are taking there
will be set up 100% here. If you can't make it to Anaheim this summer,
this is your chance to see that layout.

February 2008 BayLUG Meeting

BayLUG will be having a meeting and show on February 24, 2008, from 11am-4pm
in the Frank Livermore Learning Center at the Museum of American Heritage in
Palo Alto. Members can bring models to display, as well as buy/sell/trade
LEGO parts and sets. Display space is limited however, so you need to
reserve space or even bring your own table(s). Watch the members mailing
list for more details.

There will be members offering LEGO parts and sets for sale or trade, so
bring your wallet.

Setup for members only will begin at 10:30am. Teardown will begin at 3:30pm.

The theme for the building contest has not yet been decided.

October 2007 BayLUG Meeting

This is our BayLUG anniversary meeting. BayLUG is turning 9 this year. Come
out and help us celebrate!

BayLUG will be having a meeting and show on October 14, 2007, from 11am-4pm
in the Frank Livermore Learning Center at the Museum of American Heritage in
Palo Alto. Members can bring models to display, as well as buy/sell/trade
LEGO parts and sets. Display space is limited however, so you need to
reserve space or even bring your own table(s). Watch the members mailing

Set-up for members only will begin at 10:30am. Tear-down will begin at
3:30pm.

The theme for the building contest is "Halloween". Build and bring a model
that fits the theme of the contest to enter. Only BayLUG members are
eligible to enter. There are three age groups:

6-11 Years Old
12-17 Years Old
18 Years and Older

There will be one prize given for each age group. Only ONE entry per member,
please. All members wanting to participate in the building contest MUST show
their namebadge to be eligible to participate. If there are any under-6
entries, there will be an age appropriate prize available for them as well.
The contest judging will begin at 1:00pm.

Remember, the contest is for members only. If you're not a member, sign up
prior to the meeting and you can participate in the contest.

Dear Lego Community:

This summer, The Tech Museum of Innovation in San Jose is offering 7 weeks
of Lego Robotics programming, with Beginning and Advanced classes, and an
entire week celebrating Lego Robotics with just girls! Galileo Educational
Services, the organization that operates The Tech's summer camps, is
currently hiring Lead and Assistant Instructors for our Lego Robotics
classes. Lead Instructors will develop and deliver the curriculum, and
Assistant Instructors help motivate and lead the campers as they take on The
Tech Lego challenge. This is a great opportunity to apply all that you've
learned, inspire kids, and work in a wonderful environment where the RCX
Brick is truly adored. Come have fun and inspire 4th-8th graders as they
create and innovate with Lego Robotics!

The Tech Museum of Innovation offers hands-on science and technology camps
each summer. Campers enjoy special access to The Tech's world-class lab
facilities and learn under the guidance of experienced educators. Galileo
Educational Services is now hiring Lead Instructors for the following
classes in addition to Lego Robotics:

- Video Game Design: Game development

- Inventors Workhop: Circuitry and invention

- Computer Programming: The FUNdamentals of computer programming
