Dates for a Scottish fest

I am starting to arrange a Scottish fest.
I have three possible dates please let me know which will be the best.
Saturdays - 13rd & 17th September or 11th October.
This will be held in Aberdour in Fife - it just over the Forth Bridge from
Edinburgh and just off the M90 - see the map.

There is a railway station in the village with trains from Edinburgh, and GNER &
Virgin trains from England stop at Inverkiething - which is 10 minutes away,
Edinburgh airport is 30 minutes away and EasyJet flys from London airports.
I'm sure transport can be arranged to collect you.
The fest will be held in the Boat Club (I can get it at a good rate) which at
the harbour beside a Blue flag beach see the picture (it is the green roofed
building). There are fantastic view across the Forth to Edinburgh Castle and
Arthur's Seat. Stay the weekend there are several B&B's in the village.
It can hold 20 people but there will not be room for a big train layout -
but trains are still welcome as are all other themes.
Parking is limited but there is ample parking at the station 5 minutes
walk away. Lunch and Tea will be provided - there will be a small charge.

I have never organised a fest before - but there will be the normal events,
buy/sell/swap of Lego, competitions, and talking about Lego. There will also
be a 'show-and-tell' about a where you can show either your favourite set or
your own design for 5 minutes. I am open for other ideas.
Everybody is welcome but I need to know in advance who will be attending.
I'm not sure about advertising locally - any comments?
Please let me know which dates are best so I can book the Boat Club.

| Sorry I made a mistake with the dates it should have been Saturday 27th Sept, NOT 17th. It looks as if about 8 people can make it so far. David (...) (21 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.uk)
