Hi, everybody!

I’m happy to announce that one of my LEGO sculptures will be premiering at a art gallery in Calgary, Canada. The Shatner Show is a book and exhibition of artwork depicting William Shatner by over 70 artists and illustrators across the US and Canada.

Click on the picture for more info. There’s a TV news snippet, a book for sale, and more.

The sculpture will be on display (and for sale) at the Uppercase Gallery in Calgary From June 16 - August 31. I hope if any of you are in the area, you stop by and take a look at the show. The show features some really great pieces by other artists working in traditional mediums... so if nothing else, fans of Shatner and of Star Trek will certainly get a kick out of the exhibit. :)

...

Oh... while I’m here, I realized it’s been a LONG while since I’ve shows you guys what I’ve been up to. So...

6-foot Google logo, but entirely out of greebles (doors, slopes, gears, hinges, etc).

Hope to see you all at Brickworld!

Since there has been no real announcement yet, I thought now would be as
good as a time as any, plus there is a meeting coming up.  So anyway, there
is a small LUG located here in Calgary, Alberta and we have named ourselves
SALUG.  The group consists of about 8 or 9 of us, although not all of us
have been able to attend all of the past meeting, which there has only been
a few of in the past.  And if there any lurkers in Calgary that would like
to attend the upcoming meeting, it is on April 25, please email me for more
information.

I just thought I would add to this we have decided to have regular meetings on
every second monday of the month so if anyone in Calgary wants to join our
little group feel free to contact us.

There was discussion between NALUG in Edmonton and the newly formed SALUG in
Calgary, and it was decided that neither group was able to participate this
year, unfortunately.  Next year's show looks promising though.

Does anyone know whether any lego train will be in the train show on Feb 16
and 17 in Calgary Big Four building?  We have not heard anything from anyone
in Alberta discuss about it at all. We assume not?
