Timing, as they say, is everything, so in many ways even the idea of playing with LEGO seems a little absurd in light of recent events, but life will go on for us and there's nothing that any despicable coward can do that will conquer our indomitable spirit. But I came to share an MOC-- I hope you enjoy the little diversion:-) The inspiration for this building came after I got a bunch of the Oasis Ambush sets last year: http://guide.lugnet.com/set/5938 I started fooling around with the parts from the set and came up with the cornice design, and built the rest from there. It took a very long time to assemble all of the necessary parts, but I am happy with the results. This is my first example of my "miniland detail in minifig scale" campaign-- more on the way. I saw this on brickshelf earlier and felt it to be one of the best buildings I've ever seen. The level of detail is great as is the color combinations. The numerous different types of bricks used on the facing give an excellent sense of texture and (...)
