Hear ye, hear ye!
OK, I'll give up the medieval talk for just right now, but listen up anyway,
alright? ;-)
As the planning for the Brickfest evolves, I was hoping I could gather'round
some people who are planning to be there - and possibly some who are not -
and holding a minifig gathering.
What I'm suggesting is a get-together of some sort. This is in parallel to
the "Gathering of the Wise" idea that Jeff Johnston brought up a year or so
back.
The best idea seems to be a king/queen/emperor/other-head-of-state meeting -
like a United Nations meeting or some-such. Other variations could include a
villian/rogue meeting.
Just picture this:
A big meeting hall, with an enormous table, around it at least ten or twenty
of Castle World's biggest names... discussing the very fate of their realms,
perhaps cutting deals or forming alliances, bringing up good stories or
declaring war on each other! As I mentioned before, these could be the kings
and queens, or the leaders of organized crime (can't you just see Verneer
and Scar sitting in a dungeon somewhere, concocting plans to take over CW?).
Even balladeers who are not planning on being at the fest can participate,
if they wish, by sending their figs (in the mail) and dicussing with me, by
email, what they want their fig to "do".
But mostly I'm picturing a few of us - in flesh and blood - making
on-the-spot decisions, talking to each other, thinking up mutual storylines
and writing up a "discussion" for the figs, all the while taking pictures so
that the story of the meeting can be broadcasted in the, umm, appropriate
circles.
Any takers? Thoughts? Suggestions? Please do share.
