I think it's time we have a Sig-Fig Survey.  Sure we've seen pictures of
everyone's signature minifigures for Castle World and a few of them have
stories to go with them, but maybe we should have a little fun and go into
some details about them. =)  I'm kinda doing this out of my own curiosity, a
picture of a Sig-Fig doesn't *really* say a thousand words, sometimes I can't
tell if they're good guys, bad guys, train conductors, or what have you... =)

This is a great idea!

So here goes-

1- What is your Sig-Fig's name?

Prince Rupert of the Black Falcons

You can see a picture of him here:
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=15467
I just opened a BrickShelf gallery today.  You can find it here:
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?m=legohead
You'll probably need to turn the brightness up on your monitor to see
everything, but the scans are pretty good.

2- What is your Sig-Fig's gender?  (Without a picture of them, it's hard to
tell...)

male

3- What's your figgie's approximate age? (In human years) =)

20-ish

4- Is your figgie a good guy, bad guy, or in-between?

He's a good guy, as are his friends, but he's moody.

5- What class is your figgie?  (Royalty, warrior, wizard, cleric, thief,
other)

He's a prince who has been trained in the ways of a knight.

6- What's your figgie's outlook on life?

Life can be wonderful, but probably not for you.

7- What are your figgie's favorite things?

His sword, his kingdom, his family, and his two best friends, Sir Glumberg and
Princess Elisa of the Black Monarch-allied Black Knights.

8- What are your figgie's turn off's? =)

Bad guys who threaten his kingdoms (specifically his kingdom's former-ally,
Willa, and his evil uncle, the Dungeon Master).

9- Does your figgie play well with others? (Running out of ideas here...)

Yes, but only if he has to.

10- If your figgie could time travel (go from one box of LEGO to another in
your room), what LEGO theme or sub-theme would he/she like to visit the most?
=)

Pirates or Adventurers.  I'm not sure....  I haven't asked him!  ^_^

...Sounds cool, Rick!

I prolly shouldn't be asking this (like I have time on my hands to act'lly
work on CW), but are you intending to join CW? Sounds like you've got some
good material in your hands for it...

...if you are, email castle_world@hotmail.com with all the good stuff (your
name, sig-fig, pics if available, links, yadda yadda), and preferably send a
short note to my email (shirid@hotmail.com) just saying "check your CW
email!". <smile, then frown - too much HW, not enuff CW>

Which brings me to a different topic. I should prolly start a new thread, but
this seems like a good time.

Is there anyone out there with a lotta free time on their hands who's willing
to take over CW updates? Craig and I talked (before I even left for .il) and
he mentioned how handling the updates is really cool at first, but gets to be
a lot of work after a while... and that maybe we should rotate it between
people who are interested. Over the summer I had a lot of free time; not now,
though.

Sooooo... if you are willing, either post or email me...

Thanks...

I would be willing to spare time to take over CW updates if you need the help.
However, there probably would be a heavy price to pay for me to take over, I
might just try and make the site more to my style, which might be good, might
be bad =-P.  But if you need the help, I might be able to give you some time.

Oh, and on a completely different and off topic, my army of 13 chrome equiped
paladins is built, but not refined.  I'd have a pic but I have no access to a
digital camera.

Wow!  I'm really kind of honored to hear you say that....  At any rate, yes, I
was planning on joining.

Done and done!  I hope to hear back from you soon.

I just talked to Nathan McDowell, who said he's willing to handle the updates
for a while. I already gave him the passwords, and although it might take him
a few days to get the hang of it, I'm sure he'll get the job done quicker than
I would. Hehe :-)

Hopefully if my workload decreases later on, I'll be able to free some time to
work on the main page for the CW site; and possibly develop the CWSOTW idea
(this dates back to late June: http://news.lugnet.com/castle/org/cw/?n=204).

Thanks a bunch, Nathan, and also thanks Anthony for offering your help - if
the updates indeed becomes a rotating thing, maybe you could be the
next "webmaster".

Good night!
-Shiri
