OK, here's a survey for lugnet.castle. Please reply to this letter...

1. Do you have 375, the Yellow Castle?

Er...part of it.  (various pieces have disappeared over the years.

2. Are you a male?
3. Are you over 18?

Yes & yes. (These are in my Geek Code if you know how to decode it...)

4. What is the last castle set you paid over $50 for?

Leo's Castle.  (The only reason it wasn't the Bull's Attack was because I
bought that in beautiful tax-free Nashua, NH - so it's just under the $50
mark!)

5. What's the castle set you paid the most for (ever)?

Whoo....hmm...probably RKC or KLC since I bought them both at MSRP.
Usually the bidding on the auctions gets a bit rich.

6. Do you have a webpage of your castle creations?

A few things up on my LEGO page...

7. What is your favorite castle set ever?

That I own?  I'm going to confuse everyone and say Majisto's Magical
Workshop.  I don't know why - I like the thing.  It's quirky.  The Dark
Forest Fortress is kinda cool too.

That I've seen? From pictures, at least, 6086.  Looks awesome.

Year of Birth - '73, Male. Last part of it, right?

4. What is the last castle set you paid over $50 for?

Leo's Castle.  (The only reason it wasn't the Bull's Attack was because I

Ooh! Fun!

That's why I don't participate in auctions... (yet?)

6. Do you have a webpage of your castle creations?

A few things up on my LEGO page...

And they look good too!

7. What is your favorite castle set ever?

That I own?  I'm going to confuse everyone and say Majisto's Magical

Why confuse? I love that set. That was my first (normal-sized) castle set, and
I was very inspired by the hinge system they used there.

The Dark
Forest Fortress is kinda cool too.

Wish I had it.

No confusion here... it's a great little set.  Happens to be one of 4 small
sets that has stayed assembled and survived the "shelf space stress test" for
more than a month - is still surviving it, actually.  The SSST is where it has
to look cooler than anything else I want to put on the shelf - given the size
of my collection, and the size of my shelf, it's not an easy test to pass. ;)

Wow, I didn't expect that many people to like the set.  I guess that's good
because my next creation to go up has some influences from the MMW.  I had to
sacrifice the MMW to make it, though.  8(  (At least it was for a good cause!)

Hmm...it's before 7...there may be some pics up tonight...

FTR, the other three sets to survive it are 6067 Guarded Inn, 6057 Sea Serpent,
and 6266 Cannon Cove. (not techinically castle I suppose, but hey, what can you
do with a set that cool?)

The new castle sets have failed across the board...most of them didn't even
make it to the shelf.

Mine has stood the test of time, it's been up on my shelf together for
almost 3 years now :) I can't make myself take it apart, I just dust
over it every week and put it right back on the shelf, adjust Majisto in
a new place and open or close it whichever comes to mind :)
