My new Inn of many gable ends...

Sorry I am not as original as some of you when it comes to naming my creations so I had to try and put something in the header that would make you come look at my new Inn. Seriously I did use a lot of gable ends on the Inn as well as a lot of other (...) (24 years ago, 19-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

(...) 1) The use of the horse covers fits so nicely into the colors of the Inn. 2) The courtyard - an awesome shot (bird's eye) 3) The church in the background is very promising (as in ... more to come from Eric later;) This also means (correct me (...) (24 years ago, 19-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

awesome inn!@!@! i have to admit i've created a couple small castles, but have been completely dumbstruck for creating civilian buildings one major problem i have is building roof corners (90 degree angle change). I noticed you have figured this out (...) (24 years ago, 19-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

Great model! Fantastic design! I love the attention to detail and the realism of it all. Except I don't think I see any gables. :) -- Paul Davidson Eric Kingsley <kingsley@nelug.org> wrote in message news:FoKAKI.J9r@lugnet.com... (...) creations (...) (24 years ago, 19-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

First thanks to everyone who has commented so far. I love getting feedback so thanks. Other than my misunderstanding of the definition of "gable" things have gone well so far :-). I now know what a "gable end" is and for those of you that commented (...) (24 years ago, 19-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

(...) along. The shape of the structure is really good-- it's not just a plain boxy thing, it's got that hint of randomness to make it look all the more authentic. The courtyard is a great touch! Is there an interior as well? And if so, is it (...) (24 years ago, 19-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: My new Inn of many gable ends...

(...) As far as the interior goes yes and no. No there currently is not an interior but yes I plan on finishing the interior. I kept interior design in my mind most of the way through construction and I have put in about 1/3 of the floor for the (...) (24 years ago, 19-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

(...) I love all those gables. There is something very satisfying about using a lot of slopes for a profusion of gables in a building. Great work! Gary Istok (24 years ago, 19-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

Inn? Nope! It's my dream home! Thanks for doing up the floor plans! :-, The atrium (a courtyard enclosed within a house?) is awesome. Cheers, - jsproat (24 years ago, 19-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

Nice looking model! Hmmmmm, I don't see any gable ends, or gables for that matter. What you have are hips my friend, hips! Hipped roofs and hipped dormers. Build On! John Matthews Eric Kingsley <kingsley@nelug.org> wrote in message (...) (24 years ago, 19-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

(...) Heck, at least you named it, I don't think I've named any of my creations. Wonderful job Eric. Very nice looking Inn, and lots of good detail. I like the Market too but the Church is my favorite. Keep up the good work. Tom (24 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)
