Hornet multi-role fighter —Blake Christopher Gettig
Here's my multi-role fighter that I designed to fit into my space theme(which you can read more about and view my heavy at my previous posting of lugnet.cad.dat.models mace heavy fighter). I call it the hornet because of its Blacktron stylebubble (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

Re: Hornet multi-role fighter —Joseph Gonzalez
(...) i already posted in response to your first model but let me drop another note of encouragement. your models are very good and i'd really like to see a webpage devoted to them and the theme you are developing. keep up the good work! ..joseph g (25 years ago, 16-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

Re: Hornet multi-role fighter —Blake Christopher Gettig
(...) I'm only 14 years old, so I have to beg my parents for the web site. Maybe some day I'll get one. (25 years ago, 16-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

Re: Hornet multi-role fighter —Bram Lambrecht
[Please set follow-up to lugnet.publish] (...) You can start out with a free web site, or maybe get one from your school if your school (or school district) has a web site. I started my web site when I was 14 in a sub-directory of my friend's web (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.models, lugnet.publish)

Re: Hornet multi-role fighter —Blake Christopher Gettig
(...) Know of any places where I can get a free web site? (25 years ago, 16-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.models, lugnet.publish)

Re: Hornet multi-role fighter —Larry Pieniazek
Geocities and Xoom spring to mind. Try going to Yahoo, inputting Free Web Site into the main search box and seeing what you get. (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.models, lugnet.publish)

Re: Hornet multi-role fighter —Larry Pieniazek
In fact, try here (URL) this be a FAQ, along with why getting a web site is a good thing (compared to trying to post binaries here, which is automatically disallowed by the server, or on RTL, which will get you flamed) ? ) (...)          Re: Hornet multi-role fighter —Blake Christopher Gettig
(...) Thanks for the help, I'm seriously considering one. Gotta wait for my parents to get home to see what they think before I jump into it. (25 years ago, 16-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.models, lugnet.publish, lugnet.faq)

Re: Hornet multi-role fighter —Jeremy H. Sproat
(...) Free Web page FAQqage on .off-topic.geek, maybe? MIME attachment policy is handled in the LUGNET Terms of Service, right? But then, the TOS itself could be a FAQ item... Cheers, - jsproat (25 years ago, 17-Jul-99, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.faq)

Re: Hornet multi-role fighter —Matthew Miller
      (...) Why not lugnet.publish? (25 years ago, 17-Jul-99, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.faq)

Re: Hornet multi-role fighter —Larry Pieniazek
(...) I'd go .publish... Well within that charter. (...) Yes. But in addition to being in the TOS, it's actually stopped by the news server, so it's not just prohibited, it's prevented. (25 years ago, 17-Jul-99, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.faq)

Re: Hornet multi-role fighter —Jeremy H. Sproat
(...) Oh -- yeah. That ranks as one of my duh's for the day. :-, Thanks both Larry and Matthew. (...) It's not just a good idea -- it's the law. Is Todd now allowing MIME attachments for DAT files in the lugnet.cad.dat.* groups? Cheers, - jsproat (25 years ago, 19-Jul-99, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.faq)

Re: Hornet multi-role fighter —John VanZwieten
Just an LDraw tip: Your models are both facing left in LDraw, so that when someone tries to view it from the front, they actually see the right side. Not a huge deal, but you might consider rotating them 90 degrees on the y-axis. -John Van Blake (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

Re: Hornet multi-role fighter —Terry Keller
(...) :-) I had to smile at that. I did the exact same thing when I started out. Finally realized the problem when 'left' and 'front' views did not show me what I wanted. D'Oh! -- Terry K -- (25 years ago, 17-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)
