I'm said to be a prolific parts author, so I wanted to verify the truth
behind... A few find in files, some Excel work and a bit of manual cleaning
gives the result below. This was done on the full collection of official LDraw
parts + unofficial ones up to march 2011.

Have fun!

Interesting! Pretty much all male, it looks like to me, although maybe I missed
someone?

Looks so indeed. The only clearly female first name I found lower in the list is
Heather (http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?m=hpatey)

Well, OK, if you're going to limit your survey to just Lego parts :-)

I have a library of 188 LDraw "Minibrix" parts that I maintain and publish to a
wide and growing community.

Seriously, though, I know how much time and effort it took to make my
collection, so I can really appreciate the effort put in by the authors with 500
or more to their name!

Wow! I'm still on the 5th position, even though I don't author parts anymore.
Well, it's only a matter of time before I'm on the 7th... But if I have had to
guess, I may have said I'm at 15th or so. :)
