| Empyrean Flame, flagship of the Terran Navy The Empyrean Flame, referred to affectionately by most of the Navy as The Flame, was the last of the great battleships. Built in 2188, she was quickly outdated and outgunned by superior technology. In the great tradition of bitter irony, she was destroyed in a skirmish with pirates in 2237, only three days before she was due to be retired to the Space Maritime Museum on Mimas, a moon of Saturn.
