From: Elaine Wilson <closr@earthlink.net>
Date: Thu, 22 Jan 1998 13:24:54 -0500
Organization: EarthLink Network, Inc.

Name: Elaine Wilson
Gender: female
Year of Birth: 1973
Mental Age/Status of Inner Child: Oh, somewhere between 8 and 16. The
magic age that fits in the bogus "suggested age group" for Legos, but
can still drive to the store and charge things. ;)
Location: Clearwater, Florida, but on my way back North where I belong
later this year.
E-mail Address: closr@earthlink.net
LEGO/home page URL(s): http://people.delphi.com/closr2fine/index.htm
Marital Status: single
Children: none
Occupation: copy editor/designer
On R.T.L (A.T.L) Since: 1994 (yes, really -- I think I last filled one
of these out during the first Clinton administration)

# of Sets in LEGO Collection: approx. 60
# of Unopened Sets in Collection: 10 (mostly stuff I bought dupes of
without realizing it, plus a Dragon Defender which I think is just too
hideous to build)
# of LEGO Pieces: I have no clue. Less than a million, more than
fourteen. Closer to fourteen.
# of LEGOfests Attended: none
# of LEGO Theme Parks Visited: I've been driven past the Carlsbad, CA
site -- *very* briefly, and without realizing it was there. Does that
count? :)

First LEGO Set: A big flat box with styrofoam dividers (childhood
memories are *so* undependable) from circa 1977.
Favorite Theme(s): Castle
Favorite Set(s): King's Castle, probably, but ... it's strange, but the
Paradisa Sand Dollar Cafe is almost cooler. They used pieces in ways I'd
never seen before.
Favorite Piece(s)/Minifigure(s): I love Majisto. I have nine of him.
They get together and conjure police boats and lock Timmys up in caves.
It's a party.
Set/theme you would like to see: I'd like to see the Adventurers sets in
my living room, please.
Current LEGO Project: Purchasing more shelves so the Coastal Patrol
police boat isn't next to the Islanders anymore. It looks ridiculous.

Greatest Claim to LEGO Fame: The fact that I'm probably going to end up
paying an hour's wages for one lousy 'DkGray Belville Cat' in Auczilla,
just because I didn't buy the damn set that has it at MacFrugal's when I
had the chance.

Other (Non-LEGO) Interests: Words, sentences, paragraphs, chapters,
books, sequels and the acquisition of shelves.

Marital Status: Married - Eight years and proud of it!
Children: Three - boy 6, girl 3, boy 2
Occupation: Systems support/technical specialist
On R.T.L (A.T.L) Since: 1994 then a three year gap to late 1997

# of Sets in LEGO Collection: Er..please define "set"! Does Spares
	Catalog # 5229 - Differential Gears - constitute a set.
	Yes = ~60 ( +~25 more that the kids own), No = ~45 (+25 for kids)
# of Unopened Sets in Collection: ~10 (mostly spares sets, but one
skeleton hideaway which is a repeat (received as present),
the train controller (I have no trains) and the ~1994 Technic Trike)
# of LEGO Pieces: Call it thousands, but how many, Deu seulenez!
# of LEGOfests Attended: what's a Lego fest?
# of LEGO Theme Parks Visited: Does via Netscape count? ;-)
First LEGO Set: circa 1972 Wheels set - perhaps 57a or 58a
(won in heat of building contest Jan 1973) followed closely by Set
#3b - Universal Building Set (won in finals :-).
Favorite Theme(s): Technic for building, Castle or Town for Play.
Favorite Set(s): 954 Go Kart (first Technic set - sentimental),
but I love the look of the 357 Castle. I wish I could afford one :-(
I would also dearly love a 8880 SuperCar...
Favorite Piece(s)/Minifigure(s): Differential, pistons, any plates / Skeleton.
Set/theme you would like to see:
Current LEGO Project: Sorting out all the pieces my Mum bought at
        sales/markets...
Greatest Claim to LEGO Fame: Probably winning the 3b set in 1973,
but perhaps being the most recognised technical builder in my
neighbourhood from 11 to 18, primarily for designing "supersteering",
a system which seriously improved the 954 Go Kart's rack and pinion
steering system's turning circle. There were several 954's around, and
we had regular meets to race our models against the clock through a
tight course made of scattered bricks and other lego debris. Sigh.
That was fun, when I had time to do those things...
Other (Non-LEGO) Interests: Terry Pratchett's Discworld, computers,
my family, the Australian Outback, 4WDing, pool, chocolate, friends,
soccer, puzzles, paradoxes and connundrums, flirting, mechanics,
photography, volleyball, scrabble, chess, Trash & Rock'n'Roll music
	...
