Jerome Scott

Favorite LEGO toys/themes: Technic Mindstorms

My fascination with LEGO began... as a child rekindled in late 30's with discovery of other friends who were LegoManiacs

I once built... in the '60's - a three masted schooner and entered it in the current competition - didn't win (note: no special parts back then)

Someday I will build... a small city - architecturally complex not town Jr a BOLO (science fiction supertank - see Keith Laumer - also see the game OGRE by Steve Jackson games)

LEGO is great because... it's high quality and is generic enough to let your mind wander where it will without restricting you too much

LEGO fans are great because... they are almost universally friendly and forgiving (some notable exceptions on RTL but we put up with them)

My favorite Non-LEGO Toys: wow I had to think for a while... computer games

My favorite Hobbies & Interests: Computers, Reading, Art, Photography

My favorite Foods: Pastas, Pestos, Pizzas (preferably all 3 at once - ask for my recipe)

My favorite Movies & TV: Most things Science Fictional - the History channel

My favorite Artists: Frank Kelly Freas

My favorite Music: Classic Rock and progressive rock - some pop - NOT C/W

My favorite Pets & Animals: Our Cat "Tigger" who adopted us and stayed

Words which best describe me: middle aged yuppie computer geek with a better haircut than most

I love it when... you get a new Lego set and it has a cool new part or way of putting old parts together

I hate it when... Lego issues a new set and it has a big part that used to be several smaller parts

I can't seem to get enough... bulk bricks

I always seem to have enough... minifigs

I hope I always... keep my sense of wonder

I wish I could... have the time to do all the playing/creating I want to do

I could never... sell my Lego at this point - I've invested too much time into sorting it.

I hope I never... lose the capacity to play

I wish I hadn't... lost my best Lego buddy and friend Gary Louie a few years back (he passed on just before Legoland CA opened - he had a season pass)

In my craziest moments... I dream of having all the specialty parts I always wanted and the time to use them all

Believe it or not... I don't have enough Lego yet

If I were super-human... I'd be a lot more pro-active and community oriented

More & Less:
  • more Genuine caring about other people, less snap decisions/uniformed decisions about other people

Rules I try to live by:
  1. Live and Let Live
  2. There's no such thing as too much Lego
  3. He who dies with the most toys unopened hasn't been playing enough
