Thomas Fulk, Jr.

Favorite LEGO toys/themes: Technic, Model Team, Star Wars, Mindstorms, and Racers especially with Ferrari involved now! and of course... who lives in a pineapple under the sea? SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS!

My fascination with LEGO began... As a small child. Just guessing I would say around age 5-6. I remember the first decent sized set was a fire station my deceased grandparents gave to me for christmas one year, engine company no. 9, set #590. I guess I was 5 or maybe 6. I still have most of it. According to my mom the year before that my grandparents gave me my 196 antique car but I lost the gals hair (ok I admit it I chewed it up and later threw it away). God bless you Ralph and Pat Fulk. You knew how to entertain a mischievious mind and keep a little boy (and 30+ year old man) entertained

I once built... A V8 engine with those cool old 2x2 technic pistons. A combo of 8858 engines set,948 go-kart set, 8841 desert racer and other parts... before the internet... before digital cameras..... before I really knew how cool it was.

Someday I will build... A Lego Version of my 1964 Ford Galaxie 500, and build my real Galaxie 500 into a real 60s style custom hotrod!

LEGO is great because... You can build a model of anything you want to, any size you want, limited only by your imagination and stash of bricks.... then when you get tired of looking at it you can take it apart and make something else. And you don't have to have big arms like Paul Teutel or know how to weld to do it! (I hate anything that requires welding or physical exertion)

LEGO fans are great because... Every one I have met has been friendly and very helpful, always willing to help a fellow fan out. Also seeing other adults enjoy what some consider a toy makes me feel more normal :)

My favorite Non-LEGO Toys: K'nex, Video Games, my PC, model cars, my T-Maxx nitro RC truck

My favorite Hobbies & Interests: Automotive/Heavy Equipment repair, computers, electronics, r/c

My favorite Foods: Pizza, Sub sandwiches, Burgers, Steak, Sweet Iced Tea

My favorite Movies & TV: The Learning Channel, Discovery, Nick, Star Wars, Comedy

My favorite Artists: Da Vinci

My favorite Music: Classic Rock, 80s/90s stuff, Country, misc. other stuff

My favorite Pets & Animals: My dog Nugget, a mini red piebald Daschund (even if he will chew Lego given opportunity)

Words which best describe me: Helpful, Considerate, Humorous, and sometimes Stubborn

I love it when... I get a new set, especially if I ordered it through the mail and had to wait!

I hate it when... I have a day off work, plan to relax and do things I like to do (Like build Lego) then something I have to do that isn't enjoyable comes up. Sometimes I just hate being a responsible adult and want to be 10 years old on summer vacation again!

I can't seem to get enough... Space to store my stuff, Sleep, things I won't mention

I always seem to have enough... Jobs to do at work, bills,

I hope I always... Enjoy Lego and other construction toys as much as I do right now.

I wish I could... Pay off my credit Cards, have a baby

I could never... Have a job where I was confined to one area for too long

I hope I never... Have trouble with my hands where It is painful to build or have eyesight too bad to see instructions. These are both starting to mildy occur already.

I wish I hadn't... Thrown away the box to my 8858 Engines set, and been careless in general with my Lego collection and other toys when I was younger.

In my craziest moments... I got caught (along with a friend) for shooting off fireworks (illegal here) right in front of a cop having coffee at a gas station :)

Believe it or not... My wife Kathy does not harass me about my Lego habit at all. We have been married for almost 4 years now. She actually contributes to the cause :)

If I were super-human... I don't exactly know what I would "do"' but I'll bet that I wouldn't have a sore back ever again!

More & Less:
  • more Days off work on Vacation, less Days off work sick
  • more Cash, less Credit
  • more Horsepower, less Fuel consumption

Rules I try to live by:
  1. Do unto others as you would have them do to you
  2. Don't count your chickens before they hatch
  3. When a little bird with a negative idea lands on your shoulder, shoo him away before he builds a nest

Additional comments:

I want to say thank you to my parents for allowing me to live through childhood, my wife Kathy for not laughing when I told her Lego was one of my hobbies the first time I talked to her on the phone, and everyone who has ever given me a Lego set for my birthday/christmas.
