Jason Charette
("LegoStargateMan")

Favorite LEGO toys/themes: Loved classic space as a kid, these days I think the farm series of City sets are amazing.

My fascination with LEGO began... when I was a wee little boy, then I went through the typical dark ages, only to rediscover my hobby about 12 years ago.

I once built... the entire Stargate Atlantis gateroom, to mini-fig scale.

Someday I will build... working on the Omega Class destroyer from B5; also want to try and build a mini-fig scale pyramid from the Stargate movie.

LEGO is great because... it allows me to express my creative side in a way which fits into my life. The endless possibilities of how you can put the bricks together offer endless things to create.

LEGO fans are great because... they are open, friendly, and non-competitive (at least those I've met aren't).

My favorite Non-LEGO Toys: My home theatre; I love to watch movies.

My favorite Hobbies & Interests: Sci-Fi, home renovations / building, movies, Lego (but I guess that last one is obvious)

My favorite Movies & TV: Movies: Star Wars (originals), Matrix Trilogy, sci-fi in general. TV: Stargate (all), Heroes, B5

Words which best describe me: Closet AFOL.

I love it when... I find a great sale on Lego.

I hate it when... there are no sales on Lego. Oh, and blue-grey bricks (colour changes are BAD).

I can't seem to get enough... grey bricks, planks, etc... I primarily build Sci-Fi related MOCs, which have large quantities of grey bricks.

I always seem to have enough... blue-grey bricks when I need old-style grey bricks.

I hope I always... have the ability to enjoy such a wonderful hobby.

I wish I could... find a giant mini-fig at an affordible price; those things are expensive on eBay!

I could never... give up my Lego. It's to much of a relaxing hobby for me.

In my craziest moments... I walked around North of the artic circle wearing shorts and a t-shirt when even the locals were wearing pants & jackets. What can I say? I thought it was nice out!

More & Less:
  • more free time, less chores
  • more affordible Lego sets, less specialized themes with premium prices

Rules I try to live by:
  1. Smile.
  2. Enjoy your kids now as they grow up fast.
