Kirsten Lynch
("kdenoyelles")

Favorite LEGO toys/themes: Train, Town, and Belville, right now. I also love to build anything involving lots of flowers. I think I've become known as The Flower Girl in COLTC.

My fascination with LEGO began... A little when I was a kid and would spend hours side-by-side with my cousin, Eric, building MOCs using bricks from one of his many drywall buckets full of LEGO. Unfortunately, once I became a band nerd and a book worm, "toys" fell by the wayside. I didn't rediscover LEGO until I met my husband, Billy, who never lost interest in LEGO. It was through him that I realized everything that I had missed out on throughout the years and reconnected with my inner Master Builder. After joining COLTC, I really grew to love LEGO and the AFOL community even more. It is really a hobby that has taken over a huge portion of my life now, and I don't mind that at all!!

I once built... A bikini Babe!! I'm finally finding time to work on MOCs now, although I would have to say my most "famous" MOC to date (other than Flower Bushes) is my Bikini Babe. Not only is she an AFOL favorite, but she is a fan favorite, as well. Who would have guessed that one little minifig could turn so many heads? But, hey, who doesn't like a big set of... *ahem*

Someday I will build... ??? The possibilities are limitless as far as what I would like to build down the road! Right now, I have my sights set on a new city block. Stay tuned!

LEGO is great because... It allows a person to be creative, while also opening up an opportunity for the mind to explore other avenues for learning. Even at my "old age", I learn new ways to look at things when I build with LEGO. How many other "toys" can make that claim? Aside from the creative and engineering / learning aspect, it is just plain fun!! Not to mention, LEGO brings together a wonderful group of adult fans, like myself, who want to share and enjoy the hobby with others who understand the appeal.

LEGO fans are great because... Because they tend to be intelligent, zany, caring and completely unlike anyone else out there. OK, so, I guess that last one is what "zany" means, but you catch my point! LEGO fans are the best!!

My favorite Non-LEGO Toys: Old School Action Figures! (like Star Wars, GI Joe)

My favorite Hobbies & Interests: Hockey, Scrapbooking, Card Making, Reading, Fiction Writing, Web Development

My favorite Foods: Chipotle, Haagen Dazs Dulce du Leche Ice Cream, Starbucks, Coffee Nips (but not the sugar free ones!)

My favorite Movies & TV: The X-Files, CSI (Las Vegas and NY), Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe, The Mythbusters, The 4400

My favorite Artists: Mark Rothko

My favorite Music: Too long to list!!! Right now? The All-American Rejects, Ben Folds Five, Reel Big Fish

My favorite Pets & Animals: Lucky Cow and Buddha, our two ktties

Words which best describe me: Energetic, Driven, Optimistic, Friendly, Giving.

I love it when... Everyone gets along. Seriously! It sounds silly, but there is nothing cooler than when everyone gets along great, laughs and has a good time. This is easy to accomplish when folks leave their insecurities and egos at the door.

I hate it when... People insist on bringing drama into everything! Even when there isn't a reason for drama, some people invent it! Ugh. *facepalm* Why? I will never understand.

I can't seem to get enough... Of my husband. Is that cheesy? He's been working from home lately and it has been really nice for a change! (He is usually jetting off somewhere every week!)

I always seem to have enough... Work to do! It would be nice to have a break. Just a small one, though, because I tend to get bored quickly.

I hope I always... Have great friends like I do now. I love being surrounded by wonderful people.

I wish I could... Take a train ride across Canada. I saw it on the Travel Channel once, and it looked really fun!

I could never... Purposely hurt those I love. I'm not perfect, and I'm sure I will hurt people, but I could never do it intentionally!

I hope I never... Have to get rid of my LEGO collection!!!

I wish I hadn't... Believed Julie the second time. (Long story! Ask me sometime and I'll be happy to explain.)

In my craziest moments... I was probably really flippin' drunk, but having a great time! Oh, the stories I could tell... (This one time, in Miami...)

Believe it or not... I was a physics major in college and did Intermediate Energy Nuclear Physics Research as a job to get through school.

If I were super-human... I would have the ability to read minds when I wanted to read them. That would allow me to be able to tell when someone was BS-ing me and my loved ones. I hate it when people try to pull one over on me. It drives me bonkers! The world would be a much simpler place if people were straight with each other.

More & Less:
  • more Understanding., less Closemindedness and hatred for the unknown.
  • more Willingness to work hard., less Laziness.
  • more Willingness to work together and work as a team., less Ego and Self-Centeredness.

Rules I try to live by:
  1. A smile gets your much further than a frown!
  2. Teamwork is essential for success.
  3. Do unto others... The Golden Rule still stands!!
