Chris Raleigh
("Frigmous")

Favorite LEGO toys/themes: Space, Star Wars, Town, realistic MOCs

My fascination with LEGO began... ...at Christmas in 1978, when my parents got my brother and me our first LEGO sets. I've never gone a Christmas without LEGO since, though my addiction has certainly spread beyond the yuletide.

I once built... ...a working ejector seat into a minifig fighter plane. Pull the pin, releasing a technic shock absorber which boosted the seat out the top of the plane.

Someday I will build... ...a highly detailed scale model of the Titanic. And the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC 1701-E. And possibly the M/V Presque Isle, a 1000' ore carrier.

LEGO is great because... ...it affords endless creativity to anyone of any age and skill level. What was genius at 5 is genius at 25 is genius at 55...

LEGO fans are great because... ...they're endlessly creative and live life with a sense of whimsy we all too often lack in the modern world.

My favorite Non-LEGO Toys: What are those? I can make any toy with LEGO! Transformers are cool, though.

My favorite Hobbies & Interests: Writing, theatre, films, reading, playing with my children.

My favorite Foods: Chinese food. Pizza. Italian. Mexican. Beef.

My favorite Movies & TV: Star Trek. The collected works of Aaron Sorkin. Anything really well done.

My favorite Artists: Escher.

My favorite Music: Peter Gabriel. Dave Matthews Band. Tori Amos. Too many to name.

My favorite Pets & Animals: I'm a dog person without a dog. My cat is okay, I suppose.

Words which best describe me: Funny. Intelligent. Creative. Someone once said "charming."

I love it when... ...I laugh unexpectedly.

I hate it when... ...people are mean to one another for no purpose.

I can't seem to get enough... ...Chinese food.

I always seem to have enough... ...love to go around.

I hope I always... ...love playing with a 5-year-old's toys.

I wish I could... ...live forever, not because I fear death but because I want to know all there is to know and I need time to learn it.

I could never... ...knowingly hurt my family.

I hope I never... ...unknowingly hurt my family.

I wish I hadn't... ...had some of the relationships I've had with people I shouldn't have had relationships with.

In my craziest moments... ...I do a happy dance. It is truly a sight to behold.

Believe it or not... ...I'm walking on air; I never thought I could feel so free. Flying away on a wing and a prayer, who could it be? Believe it or not, it's just me.

If I were super-human... ...I would have a hard time choosing between the ability to fly and the ability to be invisible. Whichever would be of greater use to the world.

More & Less:
  • more International goodwill, less Nationalistic self-aggrandizement
  • more Self-discipline, less Blame
  • more Things, less Stuff

Rules I try to live by:
  1. There is nothing, nothing like a new pair of socks.
  2. If it's worth doing, it's worth doing well. If it's not worth doing, don't bother.
  3. Keep going.
