Favorite LEGO toys/themes: Space. The final frontier. Well, it was, way back in the mid-1970's. Nowadays we have castle, trains, town, bionicle, mindstorms, etc., etc. They're all pretty neat, but I really like SPACE.

My fascination with LEGO began... long before I ever had my first set. I had always envied other kids who had Legos, and when my parents finally bought me the Fire Fighter #775 set, I was the happiest kid on the planet.

I once built... an entire Lego city that completely covered the floor of my bedroom.

Someday I will build... something that I can show others and actually be proud of. These days, I just build for myself, and I don't really care whether the finished products look cool or not. I love my little creations, but they're not all that impressive to anyone else.

LEGO is great because... ...What a silly question. The answer, in my humble estimation, is obvious: Legos are a durable, high-quality building material that allows artists of all ages easy access to a practically infinite range of element combinations, and are thus a readily-available outlet to imaginative creativity. But we knew that already.

LEGO fans are great because... they're all artists. Sculptors, if you will. And that's pretty neat, if you ask me.

My favorite Non-LEGO Toys: Food. And video games.

My favorite Hobbies & Interests: Writing, especially science fiction. Reading, ibid.

My favorite Foods: Yes, please. Oh, specifically? Um, rocky road ice cream and potato chips (not mixed, but together)

My favorite Movies & TV: Both. Sci fi, or at least anything that requires a willing suspension of disbelilef.

My favorite Artists: Nadja Masura. My friends. All Lego users. And Monet rocks. And Chagal. And Frank Lloyd Wright.

My favorite Music: Japanese taiko drumming, Mozart, Van Halen, Pink, Cosmosis, and much of the Psych Trance movement.

My favorite Pets & Animals: Two cats.

Words which best describe me: Zarch!

I love it when... a design just clicks into place. You know: you've been trying for hours to get this one thing just the way you want it, and all of a sudden, it just happens. Eureka! I love that.

I hate it when... I get teeth marks on my Legos. Got to remember to use my separator...

I can't seem to get enough... cool Lego pieces. Especially the neat jointed, bendy thingys. It's a technical term. Work with me here. I have no idea what the name of that pice is actually supposed to be.

I always seem to have enough... yellow pieces. But what the Zarch am I going to do with all that yellow?

I hope I always... have the eyes to appreciate all Lego creations, have the ears to hear them click satisfyingly into place, and the hands and fingers to build, build, build.

I wish I could... fly. But that's a pretty common wish, I imagine. But oh man, would it take hours off of my commute time. I think I'll write a book. Zen Driving: The Art of Not Getting Annoyed in Traffic. Chapter 1: Relax. Chapter 2: Who Cares? Chapter 3: Relax. Chapter 4: Other Drivers: They're People Too. Chapter 5: Relax. Chapter 6: No, Seriously: RELAX. You'll Get Home Eventually, Anyway.

I could never... infringe upon the inalienalbe rights of others. Not my style.

I hope I never... grow up, so to speak. Some kids are cruel, but a lot of grown ups are just plain evil. I don't want to be that. Besides, staying up late is only fun if you don't HAVE to stay up late, and then have to subsequently get up Zarching early the next morning.

I wish I hadn't... made fun of my friend, Mary, when I was in second or third grade. I suppose my feelings of guilt, and my later attempts to deal with those emotions have made me a better person in the long run, but I wish the same results could have been achieved without anyone crying.

In my craziest moments... I behave pretty much the same as I always do. I'm a total whacko nut case, I guess. It might be easier to say: In my more lucid moments...I'm asleep.

Believe it or not... our universe is actually one of a cluster of universes in a small part of the seeminging infinite cosmos. And our galaxy is just one of a cluster of galaxies in a small part of the seemingly infinite universe. And our solar system is just one system of planets in a small part of the seemingly humongous galaxy. And our planet is just one of nine in its own little orbit in this almost incomprehensively large solar system. And my hometown is just a small town in a small part of an unbelieveably large planet. And I am just this guy living here. Whoa, dude!

If I were super-human... I would be hated and feared by the very society I was sworn to protect. Which would suck. I like living as a free person, able to go to the grocery store and buy a frozen pizza any time I want, without having to disguise my identity, or pretend to be something I'm not. If I was Super Man, I would find somewhere else to live. Seriously. Humans are, for the most part, barely civil to other humans. And we're dangerously fearful of everything else. We tend to fear the unknown, and destroy what we can't comprehend. Bit of a pity, that. Sigh. And I'd like telekinesis. That'd be cool.

More & Less:
  • more recycling., less clearcutting.
  • more Legos. (Quality.), less Mega Blocks. (Quantity.)
  • more tolerance and compassion., less bragging about how tolearant and compassionate someone is or is not. Don't just say it...do it.

Rules I try to live by:
  1. Have fun and let have fun.
  2. Everyone deserves the rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
  3. My point of view is not the only valid one.

Additional comments:

A conclusion is the place where you got tired of thinking.

My favorite joke: Two guys walk into a bar. You'd think the second one would have ducked.

=^)

"Cool" people make me itch.

A short rant: I'm not crazy about the current over-use of the word "freedom" in the United States these days. True freedom is pricey. And chaotic. And inherently dangerous, especially to established beaurocracies. But worth it...so long as the basic civil liberties implied therein are maintained. When those go, freedom goes.

I also think a society should only ever go to war because it has to, not because it wants to.

And I think Batman is inherenly cooler than Superman, but Wolverine is cooler than everybody.

I also think ankle watches are a neat idea. So what do I know?
