Gereon "Jerry" Stein
("Zweistein", "Brickstein")

Favorite LEGO toys/themes: Trains, Technic

My fascination with LEGO began... 1971, received first LEGO gift package

I once built... a church, using up almost all of my and my brother's LEGO bricks (in 1978, and we had lots!).

Someday I will build... a train landscape made entirely of LEGO bricks (including mountains, tunnels and whatever...)

LEGO is great because... there's just no limit as to what you can build, except maybe the financial limit to buying more bricks...

LEGO fans are great because... I've yet to meet anyone _not_ willing to share experiences, swap parts or just have a fun talk.

My favorite Non-LEGO Toys: my two kids (hope that really counts!)

My favorite Hobbies & Interests: my kids, playing the saxophone, computers, home theater (DVD/LaserDisc)

My favorite Foods: alas, chocolate chip cookies...

My favorite Movies & TV: Star Trek, Disney animated films

My favorite Artists: Sonny Rollins, Lester Young

My favorite Music: Jazz, Soul

Words which best describe me: chaotic, open-minded, communicative, resourceful, easily distracted

I love it when... my kids run me down when I return from work.

I hate it when... my wife ignores me when I go shopping for LEGO.

I can't seem to get enough... spare time to cover all my hobbies.

I always seem to have enough... LEGO bricks waiting to be sorted.

I hope I always... have my family and good friends around.

I wish I could... test my code successfully.

I wish I hadn't... given away all my childhood time LEGO bricks when I was 17.

More & Less:
  • more Time, less Pressure
  • more Fun, less Concerns
  • more Children and families, less Disgruntled Ex-Yuppies

Rules I try to live by:
  1. A job is a job. Make friends at work but don't let the job take over your private life.
  2. The most beautiful thing in the world is a laughing child.
  3. If the world were to end tomorrow, I'd still plant a tree today.
