Terry Keller

Favorite LEGO toys/themes: SPACE

My fascination with LEGO began... Sometime in early childhood, but I never had much. Being an adult with disposable income is such a blessing. :-)

I once built... A really good X-Wing. Finished it about 3 months *before* the official models were released. But have yet to reveal it. Procrastination runs strong in my blood....

Someday I will build... Hard to say.... predicting inspirations is difficult to do. I started a design study for an F-14 - a big one - but only built a couple of retracting gear assemblies. The scope of the project sorta demoralized me. But I may yet return to it. Either that or liberate all the good parts still locked up in the existing gear assemblies.

LEGO is great because... It allows me an outlet for creativety, and satifies my urge to make things. In a way that is much simpler and easier than other, more traditional methods like painting, woodworking, or other crafts. And the results are just as satisfying, even if they are not recognized as such by non-Lego people.

LEGO fans are great because... Because they recognize the value of play for the sake of play. Without the taint of commercialism and greed found in so many other hobbies. I hope that it can remain that way.

My favorite Non-LEGO Toys: Non-LEGO Toys? What's that?

My favorite Hobbies & Interests: Skiing, Reading, Camping, Mexican food.

My favorite Foods: Mexican - Specifically, Lulu's Taco Shop in Gilbert AZ. Nirvana in a soft corn tortilla.

My favorite Movies & TV: Good science fiction (very rare), any good story with a *plot* (even more rare).

My favorite Artists: M.C. Escher. :-)

My favorite Music: Yes. Just about all types, genres, and era's. Neatly MP3'd for easy access.

My favorite Pets & Animals: Love em' - don't have any. A double yellow head parrot would be nice, but is a huge responsibility.

Words which best describe me: Quiet, intelligent, kind-hearted, somewhat sarcastic sense of humor.

I love it when... It rains on a warm spring night.

I hate it when... A dork stops at a cross street stop sign, and waits and watches for me to slowly come to a *complete* stop before they proceed through the intersection. They can *see* I am slowing to a stop, they don't *have* to wait for me - which only makes me have to wait for *them* to clear the intersection. Grrrr......

I can't seem to get enough... Warm, soft, delicious Lulu's Tacos (see FOODS: above). Chicken, in particular. Two small, soft corn tortillas topped with meat, shredded cabbage, onion and cilantro. With just a smidgen of green sauce added. And a side of freshly made frijoles (refried beans - made with real lard!), also topped with green sauce. A truly unique taste I have found nowhere else, not even in Mexico.

I always seem to have enough... ?? I don't know what to say to this. I can't think of anything I have too much of.

I hope I always... keep a sense of wonder.

I wish I could... Come up with better responses to all these dang questions! Jeez Todd, is this thing a dating service? :-)

I could never... Give up playing with toys.

I hope I never... Give up playing with toys.

I wish I hadn't... Given my older Lego to relatives.

In my craziest moments... I am really quite dull.

Believe it or not... I am feeling pretty crazy right now.

If I were super-human... Super-Human? (better than sub-human, I guess) Well, Let's see.... I would figure out the truth to the whole UFO conspiracy. Yea or Nay, I would like to know the truth of the matter, though I'm sure no one would believe what I find. While I'm at it, remove the threat of nuclear weapons so everyone could relax. And clean up all the toxic waste we have fouled our nest with. Oh yeah, and end world hunger.

More & Less:
  • more Courtesy, less Rudeness
  • more Exploration of all kinds. Such as space, science, art, philosophy., less Greed and avarice.
  • more Consideration of the future, less Shortsightedness

Rules I try to live by:
  1. Do unto others etc. (always a good philosophy)
  2. Strive to overlook the faults of others. (though those stop-sign dorks really push that)
  3. Pants first, *then* shoes.
