Paul Coombs
("Metal and Magic")

Favorite LEGO toys/themes: Castle, Bionicle, Mars, Technic (not necessarily in that order)

My fascination with LEGO began... When I was a kid. My cousin had a huge (as it seemed at the time) box of lego pieces that we used to dump out on the floor and play with.

I once built... a 4 wheel drive dune buggy with a chain driven transfer case. It had a 4-speed gear box and a full roll cage. It took me forever (in the mid 80s) to get the front wheel drive/steering combonation to work.

Someday I will build... a full size drop ship to put my mech-type creations in.

LEGO is great because... it's one of the best ways to bring your imagination to life!

LEGO fans are great because... they're special people. It takes a lot of playful imagination to stay involved in Lego past high school (or earlier) not to mention guts.

My favorite Non-LEGO Toys: Computers, video cameras

My favorite Hobbies & Interests: Computers, video taping/editing, Frisbee and oh yes! Lego!

My favorite Foods: Chinese, Vietnamese (Oriental), Pizza, Bread, Bread, Bread

My favorite Movies & TV: Hawk, the Slayer, LOTR etc. etc. TV? The only show on TV worth watching is Red Green!

My favorite Artists: David A. Trampier

My favorite Music: Acappella (the group and the style), The Vocal Union, The Ventures!

My favorite Pets & Animals: fish.

Words which best describe me: Laid back

I love it when... I get a cool idea for a MOC and it turns out as cool as the idea.

I hate it when... I get too busy!

I can't seem to get enough... Lego, time, sleep (not that I like to sleep, I just don't like to be tired!)

I always seem to have enough... work!

I hope I always... get to build with Lego. I'm planning to use Lego as my retirement hobby. If I develop arthritis it's going to kill me!

I wish I could... spend my time building and writing and drawing instead of working and working and working.

I could never... give up my faith.

I wish I hadn't... been so stupid when I was younger.

In my craziest moments... I dance. Doesn't happen very often. Twice so far.

Believe it or not... I'm older than I look - or act.

If I were super-human... I'd probably be Spiderman.

More & Less:
  • more time, less work
  • more intelligence in the world at large., less stupidity in the world at large.

Rules I try to live by:
  1. The Golden Rule. If you don't know what that is, shame on your parents!
  2. (Do to others what you would have them do to you.)
