<p>Some MIT people developed a

similar programmable brick</a>.
Pitsco LEGO Dacta were the first to distribute
this educational package to schools, etc.</p>

<p>Although the actual design and development of MindStorms was conducted
by the LEGO group, the ideas and inspiration come from the
Programmable Brick project within the Media Lab at MIT (Massachusetts
Institute of Technology) in Cambridge Massachusetts, USA. For more
